My intention with Kambo was to open myself to life, creativity, love.  I often struggled with a hyper critical nature and a strong tendency toward depressive thoughts and habits.  I wanted so deeply to connect to my original self, to that essential spirit of wonder.  This yearning brought me to Kambo.

After my sessions (Inoculation series of 3),  over the space of a few weeks one begins to notice ways of being shift.  My spirit has been lifted.  It is as if my spirit, is on a slightly different wavelength than it was before.  I have a desire to sit and meditate, to take time and see things before a reaction, and to be more kind especially toward myself.

The experience is short but during the session is intense.  All very manageable. Marisa's intuitive ways of practice and wisdom make it all come together.  I always felt protected, safe, and saw the potential for healing when in her presence.  

At about 1.5 weeks after treatment I began to notice my sense of wonder at life, its complexity and beauty had increased.  My patience and love toward my partner and children have been renewed, and continue to renew daily.  Patterns of behavior, entrenched views and beliefs have become less rigid.  I am just more open and at peace. 

I still have challenging days and moments, but it is as if there is a wellspring from which I bounce back from moments of frustration or anxiety.   I believe Kambo is still at work in me, even though my last session was over a month ago. I will hopefully work with Kambo again and unravel more wonder, patience, and peace that is within.

I heard about Kambo through my partner after she had worked with Marisa. I got to see how special, empowering and personal of an experience it was for her, and she was shiting before my eyes. I was interested in the idea of Kambo at first, but wasn't sure if it was right for me. Once I saw my partner go through it and all that unfolded for her, I knew kambo was something I needed and wanted to experience for myself.

I worked with Kambo to get some clarity in life, find my way and get out of my own way. I don't know if I even knew exactly what it was I was searching for, but after kambo I felt an amount of clarity and drive that I hadn't had in my life for quite some time. Kambo is amazing, like magic. It’s like cracking yourself open and dumping out all the junk. Being totally aware. I really appreciated that kambo is not a "trip". You don't hallucinate. You are aware of everything, you are in the present the entire time. You feel the discomfort, but you remember why you are there. I believe it makes the experience that much more meaningful because you are connecting with your body. 

After my first session, I couldn't wait for my next one! I felt so taken care of and supported that no matter what happened during session it was exactly what needed to be. The physical reaction to kambo was a really interesting experience. You could feel kambo working through your system. It never felt the same way twice. The first time I felt it in my throat, second my lower back, third it was my head. Marisa says kambo finds where it needs to be, where your body needs it. I totally believe this! When kambo finds where it's need it starts to intensify. To be honest, the reason why I wasn't fully on board with kambo when I first heard about it was the purging aspect. I never really felt comfortable with the idea of throwing up in front of someone, but the purging part was very special and meaningful. My first time I could feel myself trying to fight the urge. Marisa's encouraging words and honest/supportive energy made me feel totally safe with being vulnerable, so I gave myself permission to release. It was really special. I learned a lot just from that simple action. My physical experiences lasted for about 15-20 mins. The word warrior is appropriate because after each experience you feel like you just went to battle and came out victorious.

After my inoculation cleanse (3 sessions back to back) I felt super light. I sat in my car and just smiled for a few solid minutes. I never do stuff like that. I just felt so happy and connected to things. Everything; life, trees, people. I made a quick stop by the grocery store and as I walked down the aisle I wanted to look everyone in their eyes and make sure that I smiled at them. I even felt connected to the food on the shelves. I just had this super deep appreciation for everything. It was amazing and truly nothing I had ever experienced before. 

Marisa is nothing short of magic. She is someone you just want to be around. Her energy is pure and honest. Her personality is inspiring. I loved my Kambo ceremony all the way through. Marisa brings so many unique elements as a practitioner into her work and she holds the client so well through the whole experience. She does a thorough intake process and registration call before the ceremony. As far as the ceremony... Kambo was a blessing. I'm a healing practitioner, and one of the hardest things for me is to let go and surrender in life -- as is the case for many humans and healers. We can have the tendency to hold on to other people's energies and get attached. Kambo did a fierce and loving job of cutting the extra cords and energy that I wasn't willing to do alone. In the purging, I learned viscerally what it meant to let go. Immediately after the ceremony, I was able to let go of some toxic situations I had been grasping and clinging to for months. Kambo gave me the courage, power and knowledge to do so. Since then, within less than a month, I have experienced an increase in financial abundance, open sexual experiences without codependence, physical health through consciousness of eating and exercise, and readership and clientele in my business. I'm so much less achy and I have so much more energy. My sleep and digestion is so much better. 20-30 minutes of a pretty manageable purge was worth how I feel now. It's spiritual but also physical. I took the leap and I'm so glad I did. I've worked with Marisa a few times already when I was visiting Lake Atitlan and this has given me the strength I need to continue on my journey in a much better state of being.  I feel the spirit of the frog and I know I can take this energy with me.
