While the following conditions may not outright contraindicate Kambô, they are important to discuss:
Mental Health: Individuals with a history of mental health issues may experience heightened emotional responses during the ceremony. It's essential and invited to discuss any concerns with us beforehand.
Menstrual Cycle: Women who are menstruating may experience different physical responses during Kambô. It’s beneficial to consider timing and how menstrual symptoms may interact with the experience.
Asthma: Those with asthma should mention it as Kambô can induce strong physical reactions that may affect breath.
Anxiety: Individuals with anxiety may find the intense experience of Kambô overwhelming. Discussing strategies for managing anxiety during the ceremony can help ensure a supportive environment.
*Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of contraindications. Always consult your practitioner for personalized guidance. If interested in working with Kambo Care, our application is designed to ensure everything is being adressed at the onset of conversation. <3
