“My intention with Kambo was to open myself to life, creativity, love.  I often struggled with a hyper critical nature and a strong tendency toward depressive thoughts and habits.  I wanted so deeply to connect to my original self, to that essential spirit of wonder.  This yearning brought me to Kambo.

After my sessions (Inoculation series of 3),  over the space of a few weeks one begins to notice ways of being shift.  My spirit has been lifted.  It is as if my spirit, is on a slightly different wavelength than it was before.  I have a desire to sit and meditate, to take time and see things before a reaction, and to be more kind especially toward myself.

“I heard about Kambo through my partner after she had worked with Marisa. I got to see how special, empowering and personal of an experience it was for her, and she was shiting before my eyes. I was interested in the idea of Kambo at first, but wasn't sure if it was right for me. Once I saw my partner go through it and all that unfolded for her, I knew kambo was something I needed and wanted to experience for myself.

I worked with Kambo to get some clarity in life, find my way and get out of my own way. I don't know if I even knew exactly what it was I was searching for, but after kambo I felt an amount of clarity and drive that I hadn't had in my life for quite some time. Kambo is amazing, like magic. It’s like cracking yourself open and dumping out all the junk. Being totally aware. I really appreciated that kambo is not a "trip". You don't hallucinate. You are aware of everything, you are in the present the entire time. You feel the discomfort, but you remember why you are there. After my first session, I couldn't wait for my next one! I felt so taken care of and supported that no matter what happened during session it was exactly what needed to be. The physical reaction to kambo was a really interesting experience. You could feel kambo working through your system. It never felt the same way twice. The first time I felt it in my throat, second my lower back, third it was my head. When kambo finds where it's need it starts to intensify.

The reason why I wasn't fully on board with kambo when I first heard about it from my partner was the purging aspect. I never really felt comfortable with the idea of throwing up in front of someone, but the purging part was very special and meaningful. My first time I could feel myself trying to fight the urge. Marisa's encouraging words and honest/supportive energy made me feel totally safe with being vulnerable, so I gave myself permission to release. It was really special. I learned a lot just from that simple action. My physical experiences lasted for about 15-20 mins. The word warrior is appropriate because after each experience you feel like you just went to battle and came out victorious.

After my inoculation cleanse (3 sessions, 3 days in a row) I felt super light. I sat in my car and just smiled for a few solid minutes. I never do stuff like that. I just felt so happy and connected to things. Everything; life, trees, people. I made a quick stop by the grocery store and as I walked down the aisle I wanted to look everyone in their eyes and make sure that I smiled at them. I even felt connected to the food on the shelves in a way I never have. I just had this super deep appreciation for everything. It was amazing and truly nothing I had ever experienced before. And I still feel this way.
